Manage your client list, create multiple business identities, and customise invoice branding.
Go to Clients in the sidebar to view, add, edit, or delete clients.
Adding a client:
Snapshot behaviour: When you finalize an invoice, InvoiceBoard takes a snapshot of the client's contact details at that moment. If you later edit or delete the client, past finalized invoices are not affected. Your issued documents remain accurate records.
A business profile is the legal entity that appears as the sender on your invoices and quotes. It holds your trading name, address, logo, tax ID, and branding choices.
You can have multiple profiles — useful if you operate under more than one brand, trade under different names, or need separate identities for different services.
Mark one profile as default in its settings. The default profile auto-selects whenever you create a new invoice or quote — no need to pick it manually each time. You can still override it per document.
Each business profile has its own template and accent colour, applied consistently to every document it sends.
| Template | Style |
|---|---|
| Classic | Traditional structured layout with a prominent header block |
| Minimal | Clean, whitespace-heavy; logo top-left |
| Modern | Bold accent-colour header band; contemporary typography |
Pick any hex colour value. The accent is applied to headings and table headers in your document. The live preview in the invoice editor updates as you change it.
Upload a PNG or JPG. For best results, use a square image at least 200 × 200 px. The logo is stored in your team's file storage and appears at the top of every document from this profile.
Go to Organization Settings → Numbering to configure how invoice and quote numbers are formatted.
| Setting | Example |
|---|---|
| Prefix | INV or Q |
| Sequential format | INV-0001, INV-0002, … (counter never resets) |
| Yearly format | INV-2026-0001, INV-2026-0002, … (resets each calendar year) |
Invoices and quotes have separate sequences with their own prefix and counter. Changes take effect from the next document you finalize.
